Top spinner is not receiving water and dishes maintain dirty. Already took it apart. Any idea? The middle arm does receive water and spins.
Answer Hello Ron. You need to check the water level in the unit and make sure it is filling up properly. If not, you will need to replace the water valve on the unit. Usually this issue is caused by low water or clogged filters in the unit.
Where does this part go? It was found in tub.
Answer Susie, it snaps onto the very top of the tub above the upper rack. It's the upper wash arm. There should be a little button that went along with it. If you look at the third picture on the part where you posted your question, you'll see a picture of the button. If it's gone you may have to order a new spinner.
The top sprayer arm fell off. There is nothing to hold it on. What part do I need to put the sprayer back on? How do i put it back on? There seems to be something missing on the top.
The Upper sprayer at the top of the unit is just a push in style arm. You would just push it in and it should lock in. If not locking in then you would need the upper spray arm 8193983. If the part still does not hold in place then you would need the tower 8579224.
Spinner 8193983 Is being replaced for the 4th time. What do you recommend. Can I buy just the mounting pin if so can you give me a part number?
Answer William, The manufacturer has elimibnated the locking pin as a separate part, and you will need to order the spinner assembly 8193983. From your post description, you may want to check and consider the feed tube 8579224 as well. If you're having an issue with the spinner falling out, there may be too much flaex or the tolerances are worn to the point the pin won't hold. You also need to make sure articles in the top rack, aren't hitting or catching on the spinner assembly when the rack is moved in or out.
My spinner has not fallen off but doesn't seem to be spinning which is leaving the top rack of dishes dirty. Does the entire spinner need to be replaced? Thank you for any guidance here.
Answer Gary, The first thing to check, is the water level in the bottom of the tub, and the filter on the top of the pump assembly for debris and deposits. Start the dishwasher allow it to fill and wash for 5 minutes, unlatch the door and wait a few seconds, Remove the lower rach and check that the water level is in contact with the bottom of the heater element(at least) if not, you don't have enough water to produce the proper pressure and flow to feed the upper wash arm, and will most likely need a new fill valve W10158389 . Good Luck and Thanks
The spinner, 3rd level wash part#8557720, fell off. Can I still run the dishwasher until I have it fixed next week? Thanks.
Answer Hello Missy. Yes, you can run the dishwasher, but it will not clean the dishes properly and they will be dirty. It is best to wait until the spinner 8193983 is repaired on the unit. Hope this helps.
