Where does the spring attach?
Answer Hello Justin. One end on the bar and the other on the motor plate in the unit.
How do I replace the idler tension spring
Once in the unit there is a hole on the base that the idler spring will hook into and then it will hook to the idler arm.
the idler spring connects to one end connects to the idler arm assembly --where does the other end connect to on the motor bracket
Answer John, The other end of the spring is inserted into a slot in the base of the dryer, not the motor bracket " One end of the idler arm spring encircles the idler arm and is retained in working position by two(2) pinch tabs. The other end of the spring hooks into a hole located in a slot in the base."
I need to know specifically how to connect my idler spring. I've tried different ways but idler pulley not tight enough? When I spin the drum, the belt rolls off...HELP
Answer Hi Carl. The idler arm has a hole in the upper pulley side that connects the spring there and to the hole in the base of the unit. Put the belt with the rib side down on the drum and then pull the slack of the belt to one side under the idler pulley wheel. Put the loop formed around the motor shaft and then easily rotate the drum to the left only. This will slowely align the drum and the belt / motor together. Thank You.
How to put the spring back on?
Answer Hello Larry. The round end of the spring goes onto the idler pulley bar and the other end hooks to the motor bracket. Hope this helps.
What does this connect to?
Answer Hello John. It connects to the idler arm assembly by the motor. Hope this helps.
