I have a conversion kit to lp. Which orifice goes where? Silver- left rear, black - right rear, and the two copper- left & right front?
Sheri for Model Number SF375PEEQ0
Answer Hello Sheri,
As per the owners manual, the left rear will be the black orifice spud, the left front and right front will be brass colored, and the right rear takes the nickel orifice spud.
Gas to lp conversion, is there an adaptor for the oven?
Gregg for Model Number sf38speed
Answer Gregg, I've found model SF385PEEQ*. The kit to convert your unit to LP is part number 814546. There is no kit available for the oven, the oven is self adjustable. You will need to bottom the orifice out and come back up one and a half turns. Adjust the burner flame until it is blue. Thanks.
How do I adjust the oven burners when converting to lp from natural gas?
Mike for Model Number sf325peeq0
Answer Hello Mike,
Flip the center part of the safety valve and turn each burner orifice out about 1/12 turns. Adjust the yellow tipping out with the air shutter adjustments on the broil and bake burners. Of course the conversion kit 814390 contains the orifices for the surface burners.
The range has the correct spuds but the flame is too high. I see you have to make broiler/bake adjustments but how do you adjust the gas valve?
Darren for Model Number SF385peen
Answer Hello Darren,
Assuming you are referring to the surface burners, if you remove the knob and look into the stem, you will find that it is hollow. In the bottom of the hollow stems there is a flat blade screw head. This is the adjustment. It takes an extra small screwdriver to reach it without damaging it, but if you turn it while you hold the stem, you can fine tune the flame height. As per the manufacturer, the smallest the flame can safely be is where the flame is even with the top of the burner cap. I always "puff" toward it to simulate a door or window being opened or closed. This makes sure it isn't small enough to let the flame go out when a door or window is opened or closed. You adjust the flame with it set to the lowest setting to get it right.
After replacing the 4 orifice spuds for the top burners are there any spuds that need to be converted for the oven burners?
Terry C. for Model Number SF360BEEZ
Answer Hello Terry! You will need to flip the cap on the regulator cover to LP. You will need to also adjust the orifices on the broiler/bake burners. Bottom out the orifices and then turn back up 1 1/2 turns. Hope this helps, thanks!
