My freezer is frozen inside. I changed the compressor relay and it worked for about a week. Then the relay stopped working. Can you help me?
Answer Hello Kamo,
This is most likely the electronic defrost control W10209636. This is more likely the defrost since the freezer is freezing up. If the compressor relay were not working, there would be no ice in the freezer.
I have a 2 year old frigidaire upright freezer....when i turn it on i can hear it wanting to start running, but it wont kick on...it just makes a humming noise, like it is trying to start and then stops.
You will want to pull the start relay off your unit and give it a shake, if the relay rattles then the start relay is faulty and would need to be replaced. If the relay is replaced but still the compressor does not fire then the compressor is locked up and would need to be replaced.
my side by side fridge is not dispensing the ice, what could be the problem.
Answer Roy, There are a couple of possibilities. The actuator switch 2162361 in the dispenser could have failed and is not supplying the power to the dispenser motor W10317991 in the freezer compartment. The first thing to check is the wire harness at the top freezer door hinge, a loose or broken connection could also cause the motor to not run. A failed dispenser motor is a most likely issue.
