I am trying to locate the part I need to repair the front door gasket that is leaking. Not the vent gasket. Cant seem to find the part information. Thank you
Answer Bob, the gasket listed for your model is part number W10542314. This surrounds the front tub, top and sides. It also includes the strike which now has to be replaced when replacing the gasket. Hope this helps, thanks!
I know I need Part Number AP5650274 gasket for a water leak. My question is - Does this model have a bottom door gasket? and if so what is the part number? I would order both at the same time if so. It is a Whirlpool.
Answer Hello Richard,
This unit does not have a bottom door gasket. If the unit is leaking from water sloshing over the tub, you should check for separated spray arms and/or clogs in the spray arms. Also check that the gasket in the feed tube assembly in case the upper rack has been adjusted recently or often.
Water is leaking around the door seal gasket on at the bottom left. Can you give me the correct part number?
Answer Hello Roger. Check the spray arms to make sure they are in good condition and not plugged up. Uneven spray can cause a door leak. If everything looks good then you may need to replace the door seal Part# W10542314
My gasket/strike is worn down. How do I install the replacement so that it works properly and does not tear?
Answer Hello Lisa. The door seal part # W10542314 is applied with the widest (sides ribbed) in first. This will insure holding. You will need to center the gasket and make sure both lt. and rt. ends match any length or gap to the bottom of the tub for a reference point. It is normal that it takes a dozen times of operating to get it "worn-in" again. You will get used to using both hands to open and close initially.
