I replaced the High limit thermostat and strted the dryer empty, it started got nice and hot but then quit suddenly(within minutes), what may be the problem now?
Answer Jivan, If the dryer quit working all together, you want to check the exhaust vent for clogas and restrictions, and the thermal fuse for an "open circuit LA-1053 If the dryer runs but has no heat, you'll need to check the heater element LA-1044 for a shorted, or open element coil.
How do you remove the tumbler on this dryer?
Answer Wayne, First remove power to the dryer. You'll need to raise the top, using a putty knife and pressing in on the spring clips located in the seam between the top and the front panel. once the top is leaned back or propped up, you'll need to unhook the door switch wires from the retainer clip, and remove the 1/4 in. hex head screws on the inside of the front panel(holding the front panel to the cabinet flange/side panels). Lean the top portion of the front panel out towards you, and disconnect the wires from the door switch, and lift the front panel out and up off the bottom retainer clips. make note of the belt route, reach around the blower housing and dismount the belt from the idler and motor pulleys. Once the belt is dismounted, turn the tumbler in a clockwise direction and pull out on the left side of the tumbler, to disengage the rear drum track, from the rear rollers, use the belt to lift and remove the drum from the cabinet. You should have access to all the internal components. Thanks
