Whirlpool Duet GHW9400PL0 Machine is 12 years old. Basket spider support broke so we are replacing basket + support bracket assy. This is the first issue/repair. Do you recommend we update some other items while the machine is open (ie. belts)

We have Kenmore HE2 washer. Won't properly spin and has loud clunking sound during spin cycle. When I rotate the basket slowly, there is a loud clunk sound at every revolution of the pully and I can see the drum move. I think there is a broken support spider (part#whirlpool AP4482328). Haven't dismantled tub & basket yet so I'm guessing spider bracket is bad. There is a lot of play when I push on the basket toward the back of the washer. Checked the shocks and they are fine. Any advice? Thanks Mark

Hello, I disassembled my washer tub and found that bearings on inside of rear tub section had worn through(had the tell tale brown water stains on back of tub). My problem is when on a competitor website they said I may have to replace the shaft bearings. I do not see any bearings on support arm assembly so was wondering if all the bearings are in rear tub section. Also it appears that I cannot remove the inner bearing casing from around support assembly shaft, is this normal? Do I need to cut it off? Or is there a separate bearing that comes on shaft with support arm assembly? Greatly appreciate any clarification as I am already in hole for front tub section as drum wore through it causing a water leak.
