When I turn on the large dual burner it heats up and cooks at the highest temp available even when the knob is turned to low. It does not have the normal warm up scenario either, it goes straight to High heat and stays there. Is this the surface element or the surface element switch?

Hi ~ I was using my top burner and all of a sudden it just quit working, but the other 3 still work. It is the big one up front. Was thinking it is a heating element, but I see other questions and people are wondering if it is the switch.

My stove was working fine tonight when all of a sudden, all the elements stopped heating. I checked the connection to the electric panel and there is still current running. What do I need to do?

My stove burner recently stopped working. It was the big burner, and when my wife turned it on, she heard a loud "pop" a couple of times, almost like a minor explosion. In your opinion, would that be related to the heating element, or the switch? I have read on the forum that it could be either one when it goes out.

The large burner on left front does not heat up - how do I know if I need the element or the switch? The oven works and so do the other three burners.

When I turn on the large front left burner it goes directly to high heat even when the dial is on like seeting #2. We just changed the switch and it is still doing this. Are there any elements or wires you suggest under the cooktop that need to be changed to fix this problem?
