I have ordered these and it shows that they are the direct replacement for the originals. These new springs are 1 inch longer than the last ones and it would seem that if I installed them in the same spot as the other pair it would have the tub sitting on the shocks. Could you advise me of any difference in installation?

Applance: Front Loader Duet Problem: Terrible Noise nocking and vibration from the basket assembly. Leaking water from the center rear bearing. With everything unpluged: I have removed the back and turned the drum by hand. With my hand on top of the outer plastic basket I can feel a vibration and hear a growling sound as I manually spin it. Reading your answers it sounds like a rear outer basket. I would replace shocks and springs at the same time; however, I am concerned the problem extends beyond the rear basket based on the vibration and sound. Advice?

Duet Front load washer. Is this what you recommend to replace these 2 springs: Remove front panel and add supporting block under basket. Remove top panel to get to spring. Remove soap dispenser and then replace springs? Is the soap dispenser easy to remove & install? Also is there any thing else I would have to do for this job ? Thanks Gary

I have a Maytag 300 series front loader. The suspension springs came off and I opened it up, put them back on but unfortunately I dont think I have the location of the springs correct. There seem to be multiple places to hang the spring from in order to keep the drum level and uptight to the front. Right now its easy to push the drum back and forth and cant find a diagram of the exact location I should place the springs at. Because of this clothes are getting sucked in the rubbery part when you open the door, there is a gap and should not be there. Please help, and thank you!

I have Wirlpool Calypso washer about 6 years old. It recently started leaking during the rinse cycle. I am handy tools and checked the drain pump (which I had replaced about 2 yrs ago) and all the hoses. They look fine. Also the hoses in the water delivery system under the top panel look fine. No visible damage. Any idea what can cause this? How do I go about investigating this.

I ordered a counter weight because the original one broke. Once installed it was still viberating so I ordered the shocks and basket springs. I installed the shocks. However, when I took out the spring the original springs are considerably shorter than the replacement. My question is are these the new updated springs or wrong springs?

The Service tech checked our 4 year old machine and found one suspension spring had broken and dropped the basket onto the pump housing and broke it. His P & L is very expensive. I have pretty good repair skills. Is this something that I should consider doing myself and is there any instructions available? Also the door gasket got wrinkled during this failure, should I replace it or could I do that later?
