Will not start. Lights flashing on door. All conection are good.
Answer Hello John. You will need to test the door switch and see if it is bad. When the door closes, the switches should make up. Test the switch with the power off to the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Will not start, no lights on panels, check the power its ok by using tester on the outlet.
Answer Noel, If you have power at the outlet, your next check is at the electrical junction box on the frame of the dishwasher, behind the lower access panel and kick plate. Remove the cover and check to make sure the wire connections have not come loose or are discolored or damaged. If all's OK, you'll want to remove the inner door liner, and check the control panel thermal fuse W10258275 If it opens, it will remove power to the control board and the dishwasher will not operate and the lights will not illuminate.
The door has trouble latching but when it does the lights for cycles come on but the unit does not operate. The outside handle seems to be stuck sometimes and doesn't release
This issue sounds like it is being caused by a faulty door latch assembly and handle not making proper contact to latch. This will also have to do with the switches not making contact.
The quick rinse light flashes red on my control panel (randomly) when the door is latched and unlatched - the machine will not run. If I unplug and replug the ribbon to the electronic control it stops the flashing light and the machine will then run - which part would be causing this issue - the control panel or the electronic control ?
Answer Barbara, You'll want to start by checking or replacing the control panel / key pad assembly 8269819. STUCK KEY: If the control detects that a key is stuck in the depressed position, dishwasher operation will be suspended and the control will flash the light for that key until the condition is corrected. If a key without a light is stuck or multiple keys are stuck, the control will flash the light for the Rinse Only/Quick
The door does not close all the way, is like the latch is worn out. Could you tell me what is the part I need?
Answer Ana Maria, If the latch is the issue, you'll want to replace the door latch assembly 8193830, and the revised strike assembly 8574157 on the tub frame.
As recommended got a new door switch and replaced the old with new one but it did not solve my problem.Still see two dashes without any other action.Need further help pl.
Answer Hello Seth. If both switches 8269209 are new, then you need to check the wiring and aslo see if the latch is broke and needs to be replaced on the unit. The dashes are for the door is not closed error.
i put new front panel on dish washer and it work great for about 5 times then it quit again they sent me a new panel this one does the same . I have current to the main switch but i think thats a far as it goes. no juice to door switch, should i just buy a new one? thanks rich
Answer Rich, If theres no 120 VAC to the door switch, you'd have an open thermal fuse 8193762,and or a broken or loose wire between the two components. If you have an "open" thermal fuse, it could be due to a voltage fluctuation in the power supply, a loose connection at the power connections in the junction box. or fault in the heater element or wiring there. You can check for 120 VAC at the door switch and the P2pin6 (blk/wht wire) at the control board to chassis ground. and you can check for 120 VAC at the Tan wire on the P8 terminal to chassis ground, with the door switch "activated". You'll also want to make sure your power supply and connections are properly polarized and grounded in the junction box. We don't see you needing "new one" over a loose or damaged "minor" component.
