START/CANCEL BUTTON NO LIGHTS. ALL OTHER LIGHTS WORK. DISHWASHER IS DEAD. HOW DO YOU REMOVE THESE SWITCHES TO TEST? THEY WON'T COME OUT.
Answer Stan, The door switches are not the issue, there would be no lights at all were they the problem. The more likely issue is the key pad/control panel 6-919398, you have a failed start/cancel button circuit. The tech data sheet, should be in a bag attached to the backside of the lower kick plate/access panel. You can test each button/keypad with a VOM meter using the test information from the guide.
The handle on our dishwasher broke. We bought a replacement (W10130696). How do you remove the door switches (99002751)? One of ours broke and we are unable to pull them out? Any advice would be helpful.
There is a screw that holds the latch assembly in place. Remove the screw and lift out the latch. With the latch assembly out push on the clip on the back side of the switch to release the switch to pull off.
My control panel will not work after installing a latch assembly. The control panel is flashing the letter L. Also the number 3 light indicator stays on.
Answer Hello Richard. You will need to check all the wiring connections on the unit. Also, make sure when the latch is closed, it is making contact with the switches in the unit.
i disconnected the door switch and put it back in wrong. now i cant get if pulled back out and my dishwasher fills with water but wont start the cycle. is there a trick to getting the switch pulled out and also a diagram of how it plugs in properly? i did it a while ago and cant even remember which one i pulled out. thanks
Answer Matt, The switches, are locked in place by a plastic clip on the latch assembly. There are also pins on the door that the openings on the switch slip over to proper align the switch. Remember, the wire terninals face down towards the bottom of the door and the switch plunger face the inner door panel. You could also consider a new latch assembly W10275768 which has the switches pre mounted and aligned.
