My 2 large front burners stucks on high. Can not adjust the temperature. Is the switch bad? Do both use the same switch? One is a 3 ring burner, and one is 2 ring burner.
Answer Barn, You're on track, Depending on the type of infinite switch in the range, the H2 to L2 circuit cycles during the use of the burner, as the heat control, You most likely have a faulty infinite switch, if the burner is "stuck" on the high setting. Unfortunately,we are unable to research your parts needs, or wiring information, the model number you supplied is incorrect.
My left front dual burner comes on and stays on what is the part # I will need and how is it installed?
Answer Hello Joe. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the switch 9761048 is bad and will need to be replaced. You will need to disconnect the power and remove the knob off the switch. Then remove the two screws holding the switch in place. Remove the back panel to access the switch. Unplug the wires and connect them to the correct location on the new switch. Install the new switch in reverse order. Hope this helps.
Is this the switch that controls the dual element burner on this range?
Answer Hello Frank. The model number you provided is not working. Can you check and make sure the model number is correct? Thanks. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
