After loading my washer, closing the top lid, and pushing the timer knob in to start the wash cycle, it starts agitating and filling with water at the same time. After the load has finished washing, it again sprays water after the spin cycle, leaving my clothes soaking wet. This is a Whirlpool top load washer. Does this sound like a load sensor switch to you? If not, then what? Thank you.

From previous answers I think the sensor switch is bad. When I remove the air tube at the sensor and blow into it, should I feel pressure? It free airs. Thanks.

Washer will not fill with water. If I fill it with water (from a hose) it will not agitate, but it will drain and spin. No more Maytags for me! I have had problems with it agitating before filling in the past, but I keep a can of compressed air available to blow the water out of the tube. I have checked the water hoses for obstructions.

Hi, My Whirlpool Washer WTW57ESVW0 doesn't fill with water. However it spins. I ordered a new timer - didn't work, I ordered a new temperature switch - didn't work. My next step is auto load sensor (W10177795). You have W10292584 as it's replacement. What do you think? Could this part solve my problem?

Hi, I have a Kenmore Washer, Model 800 with Auto Load/Water Level Sensing. When the Washer starts the Normal, Casual or Delicate Cycles, it immediately begins Agitation along with Water Filling. However, when I start the Hand Wash cycle, it starts normally with filling and no agitation, then continues as rest of the cycle. I saw in another post that the load sensors switch W10177795/AP4501024 might be bad. But since mine works on the Hand Wash cycle, do you think this is still the issue? Could it be the Timer or Agitation Delay Board? Thanks Much!

Washer will not fill up with water but still runs as normal without the water - wondering if it is the auto fill switch and can I replace it myself?

The washer spins and then fills with a small amount of water prior to shutting off. Also, rather than filling it starts agitating immediately while filling with water.
