Washer starts to spin before adding water. Next it over fills and spins while overflowing on to floor. I purchased a w10292584 softener switch from Appliancepartspros, installed it, still the same problem. What's next?
Answer William, Did you also check the air hose from the sensor switch to the air bell on the side of the tub. Check and make sure it's not twisted or kinked. When you disconnect the hose from the switch, blow in the end of the hose, to clear any possible debris or clogs, in the tube. If all's OK, check the wiring between the sensor switch and timer control W10104800. If the wiring and connections are proper and tight, replace the control.
when i start the washer the agitator starts then fill, then on final spin it starts filling again with water, then stops spining but contiues to fill for about 30 seconds, which part do you think needs replacing...
Answer Rick, You want to check or replace the air dome hose 353244 make sure there are no kinks, clogs, twists, etc. If the hose is OK, then replace the sensor switch W10292584 This switch controls the water level and can act erratic when the printed circuit board inside the switch begins to fail, or theres a loose connection in the harness connector. Good Luck and Thanks
Only spins, will not fill.
Answer Hello Jack. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the sensor switch W10292584 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
My washer fills with water then stops (doesn't agitate or drain). It will spin, after I manually drain the water. Therefore, I need instruction's on how to check this Sensor Switch (AP4501024) for Continuity/Ohm's and Voltage?
Answer Gizmo, The only available check , at this time is, 120 VAC on the Blue/Orange wire at the load sense switch in a fill /wash cycle. We have no resistance or continuity checks at this time. If you have no clogs, kinks or twists in the air tube from the sensor switch to the connector on the right rear of the tub, and you have voltage into the switch, you'll need to replace the switch. Thanks and Good Luck
Please help!! We have had this washer for 14 months (just long enough to be out of warranty), and the problem is that once it starts filling with water, it won't stop, and then my wife has to manually turn the knob to start the agitating.
Answer Hello Phillip. Blow through the pressure hose and make sure it is not clogged. Also make sure it is not cut or broke. If the hose is good and the air dome on the side of the tub is not clogged, you will need to replace the sensor switch W10248240. Hope this helps.
