tHE WASHER WORKS FILL UP WITH WATER SPINS RINSE BUT WILL NOT WASH
Ernest for Model Number CW20P5W
Answer Ernest, There is is slight possibility the issue could be in the water level switch circuit 21001554 . But based on your post description, it's more likely and issue in the timer 35-2752, one of the agitation/wash contacts has failed.
What is a water level switch?
James F for Model Number fav6800aww
Answer Hello James. The water level switch is used in the washer to determine where the water fills up to inside the tub assembly.
Water level over fills and we need to set it at a lower setting.
Bill for Model Number ??
Answer Hello Bill. If it does not overflow at the lower setting, you will need to order and replace the pressure switch on the unit.

My washer wont retain the water that is pumping in it. Unless I hold the drain hose up in the air and let it drain untill it gurgles and then and only then will it hold water, and sometimes I have to do this process 4 to 5 times before it will work. Just to be clear it won't fill up with water at times it just runs straight through and drains out, hope you can help me. I've ordered a lot of parts from you guys and never have you been wrong so i'll put it in your hands now and wait for an answer. Thanks
Joel O. for Model Number cw20t5w
Answer Hi Joel. Your machine is siphoning back into the standpipe because of a couple of reasons. If the drain hose is more then 6-8" inset into the drain pipe it will create a air lock and allow the issue. Use the drain hose retainer part # 22003814 to bend the hose accordingly to help. Make sure the standpipe is at least 2" circumference and is higher than the unit. Today's pumps (past 10 yrs) have high output capabilities so you do not spend as much time in the dryer (efficient).Make sure there is a air gap so the drain hose does not take the full inner circumference of the standpipe.Thank You.
My washer is overflowing and i've changed the water level switch and hose and it's still overflowing. What should I look at next?
Eric for Model Number pav2300aww
Answer Hello Eric. It sounds like the water valve 35-2374N 21001932 is bad and will need to be replaced. We will need your serial number to determine which valve is the correct one for you on this washer. Hope this helps.
My washer won't stop filling and won't start agitating. I can manually move the timer switch to spin and it will drain and spin but no matter the water level setting, it won't stop filling or start aggitating.
Susi P. for Model Number Maytag PAV2300AWW
Answer Hello Susi! Check the pressure hose switch to make sure it is clear and not kinked. If that is ok, check and replace the pressure switch. We will need your appliance serial number to verify the correct water level switch part number. Thanks!
My washer water level over flows and wont go through its cycles.
