Awhile back my dryer started to stop running prematurely and the signal (end of cycle) would sound that it was finished. This occurs on either the Air Moisture Sensing Plus or the Timed Dry side at about the same spot on the dial. At first it was erratic and then it would happen all of the time at about the same spot on the dial. For example, at the present time I set it on timed dry for 28 minutes and usually the dryer will turn off and signal it’s done at about 22 minutes. In all cases I hit the start button and it will start back up and continue drying the set time. Then on other occasions (setting on 28 minutes) it will not stop at 22 minutes and finish the set time. There have been times it would stop at 40-45 minutes after starting at 60 minutes (and signal), I would hit the start button and it will start drying again and then would stop & signal once again right away. Again, I would hit the start button and it starts back up and move down to about 30 minutes where it would shut off again. That's why I have been setting it at 28 minutes.... I dry all of the time on medium heat.

Hello, When I start my Kenmore elec dyer, regardless if the cycle is timed or moisture sensing, it will run then it stops. When I push the start button again it runs but as soon as I let go of the start button it stops. This happens regardless of temp setting too. I am able to get it started if I turn timer to off, open and close door and restart. I don't know if it might be the timer, start button or something else. What do I need to do?

Hi, Set Dryer for about 60 minutes, will quit after about 10 minutes, then will stop dead . When this happens, the timer moves fast, even though it was set for 60 min, it will travel to about the 40 min setting and stop, all within 5 minutes. It will not latch and run anymore, I have to hold the run button down for another 5 minutes until the timer advances all the way to "Stop", then all is good again (normal operation) for many weeks. Thanks Much Kenny

I have a Kenmore gas dryer that was new in 1999. No problem until recently. The dryer would not start normally, However, I found it will run when set to "10 minutes" or less or on "sensor dry". I suspect the timer is faulty. I can hear it click when I select these cycles. Thoughts? Thanks!

Hi Guys, I cleaned the vent and the ducts on the dryer when I put a new burner assembly in a few weeks ago. The timer seems to run down quickly from 45 minutes to off in less than 10 minutes on some loads and not others. when using the resource saver the dryer runs for a few minutes before turning off without drying the load. Any ideas? Thanks AC

The dryer will not start, run, heat up....nothing. If you set the timer you can hear it run; sometimes it runs thru the cycle it is set for, and other times, it only runs for a few seconds. Pushing the start button causes the timer to quit. The thermal fuse appears to be good when tested with a digital VOM. The thermistor when cold and out of circuit tests open. Without a wiring diagram, I am not sure where to look for the problem. I am hoping you can provide some direction. Thank you

My dryer only runs when the push to start switch is held down. Heat blows, dryer tumbles, but as soon as I release it the dryer stops. I replaced the electronic controller, and push to start switch. It worked for about a month and now is doing the same thing. My timer continues to run even when the dryer isn't running. Do I need to replace my controller board again or is it the timer?
