Washer will not fill or start but will spin. What do I do?
Answer Hello Dawn. You will need to order and replace the sensor switch W10292584 on the unit.
Washer begins to agitate when filling with water. Is this a timer issue?
Answer Hello Charles. This can be due to the timer or the pressure switch failing in the unit.
Kenmore 800 top load washer. when i set the cycle it imediately will start agitating does not fill with water like it did when new
eventually it starts to fill up. It acts like the timer has adovanced itself to think it has already filled with water. do i need a new timer?
Answer Joe, The timer is a good guess, and could be the issue, but you need to check or replace the water sensor switch W10292584 and check the air tube 353244 for twists kinks and debris( disconnect the hose from the switch assembly, and blow in the hose.) The sensor switch and air tube hose, tell the timer when the tub has reached the water level, and to start the agitation. If the switch has a faulty circuit or the hose is restricted it can create the scenario you're describing.
When I turn the machine on, it takes water and then it stops. If I move the move timer, the machine will take water again and then stops. Should I replace the timer? Or is this another issue?
Answer Hello Gustavo. If the unit fills a little then stops, you may have a bad water valve W10175893 and the valve will need to be replaced. Check and make sure the screens on the valve or hoses are not clogged.
I have a kenmore self water level. When I put it on different cycles the washer wont wash it seems to rise but the water wont fill. If I put on hand wash it washes perfectly. May this be the timer???
Answer Hello Tina. You will need to check and make sure both the hot and the cold water valves are working. Turn the hot water on and make sure the hot comes into the machine. If not, it will need the water valve W10175893 to be replaced on the unit. If both the hot and the cold are working, and it just skips the wash cycle, you will need to replace the timer W10187167. Hope this helps.
