Is there any way to replace the bearings without the bearing tool kit?
Answer Hello Steve. No, it is not recommended. The tool is used to properly seat the bearings and seal and to prevent damage and leaks.
There appears to be a major problem with Bravos washers and tub bearings. You show the replacement kit for it but says must use bearing replacement tool. When put in model number it says not compatible. What do you do?
Answer Cary, the bearing tool W10447783 and bearing kit W10435302 is compatible with your model MVWB300WQ0. Our compatibility tool does not recognize the parts as being compatible as these are not listed in the original parts lists. Sorry for the confusion.
I saw that this tool (W10447783) is needed for bearings in installation of part# 1258432 & 40004001. will this work given my model #SAV2655AWW? I am concerned about damaging the plastic outer tub.
Answer Hello Brett! No, the bearing installation tool W10447783 is not the correct tool needed for your model. Unfortunately, the tool for your model, art number 12002012, has been discontinued and is no longer available. Sorry about that!
Need bearing kit part # with press tool included. As always I appreciate you guys help!!!!!
Answer Alec, thank you- we appreciate your business as well!! The tub bearing is part number W10435302 and the tool is part number W10447783. Hope this helps you, thanks!
I need to replace the bearing on my washer. Loud noises on spin cycle and oil in a spin pattern on the floor. Can I replace the bearing assembly ALONE using the tool, or do I have to replace the entire outer tub?
Answer Bob, Yes, you can install the tub bearing/seal kit W10435302 using the tool W10447783. At present the outer tub is available W10193886, should you choose to use that option. The new bearing and seal kit will solve your issue, just make sure you review the instructions and use the tool, the tool will properly align and seat the bearings in the drum and you shouldn't need to worry about alignment and seating clearances.
