The front left burner doesn't work any longer. I still hear the "clicking" trying to ignite it, but no spark, no flame. All other 3 burners are working fine. Any ideas? Thanks!
Terry for Model Number Amana ARG7600WW
Answer Hello Terry,
You will want to make sure that the ignitor is not cracked or broken. If it is then it will need to be replaced. Check to make sure that the ignitor is set properly in the burner as to be able to arch and spark. A lot of times when cleaning unit the ignitor can become out of position due to the rag catching it cause it to move.
All for burners justed stopped sparking.
Is there a spark module part number that has to be replaced?
Can it be replaced from the top?
Bob for Model Number ARG57650SS
Answer Hello Bob! The spark module is part number 32020101. The spark module will include step by step installation instructions. Thanks!
All burners ignite quickly except the right front which does spark but does not light the gas. Cap and other parts are clean and properly installed. Do I only need to replace the igniter for the one burner now working properly?
Cookingwithgas for Model Number ARGS7650E
Answer Hello Cooki,
If the ignitor spark is blue or almost white, there is no need to replace it. The burner will be the issue. If the spark is orange or red, as long as you have cleaned the area and checked for proper grounds, the ignitor will need replacement. Remember the gas has to get out at the ignitor for the spark to ignite it, therefore, the burner may be your issue.
IGNITER NOT LIGHTING BURNER,WEAK SPARK
Dan for Model Number AKS3040SS
Answer Dan, You're sure the burner bases and igniters are clean, and the burner caps are installed on the burner bases properly. Make sure you're power cord is plugged into a polarized grounded 120 VAC outlet. If thats all OK, you'd have a weak spark module 32020101. Good Luck and Thanks
To replace the top igniter, do I have to remove the burners, then the stovetop, or can I access the burner from the rear?
Bill for Model Number ACF3355ac
Answer Hello Bill. You can remove the burner caps. Then remove the two screws holding the burners in place. Lift the burners and unplug the wire going to the igniter Y0316773. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
