It went though the wash cycles got to the spin and made a sound of a machine Gun 50 cal. I move the tub but it like I am winding up a spring then you hear a bang then it moves easy then wind up a gain and bag. took off the agitor dose the same thing. When plug in on spin sounds loud bang Bang over and over. ???

Machine fills and empties just fine. It also spins without a problem, but it does not agitate. Makes a lot of noise when trying to. Belt looks okay. Is it the transmission?

My washer will wash and rinse but will not spin fast enough or not at all. I believe there is a slight bearing noise coming from the lower bearing, so I plan to replace it, along with the obviously worn belt and the slightly worn break pads. With the belt off, I spun the transmission and drum by hand. Although it turned freely, it seemed a little heavy for the motor to spin fast enough. Could the transmission be bad? It seems unlikely that a bad bearing would be enough to slow it down, I could be wrong. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

Answer Hello Steve. If the bearing is bad, it can slow the unit down and even prevent the unit from turning. It sounds like a bearing issue.

Water is leaking out of side transmission and is noisy on high rinse cycle. Had both upper and lower bearings replaced 2yrs ago. Could it be a gasket or seal?

Answer Matthew, I'm sure you mean there is water trickling down the side of the transmission, not out the side of the transmission. At this point you'll need to check and replace the tub seal kit W10116790 it's developped a leak, again. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hello Leno. Check and make sure the lid switch 40034901P is good on the unit. If not, it will cause the problems your having. If so, you will need to check the pump 27001233 and see if it is bad or clogged. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Lloyd. What is leaking onto the transmission? If you have a water leak from at the center of the transmission, you will need to repair the seal. Refer to your serial number if the first two digits are between 10-13 you will order W10116791 anything 14 and over will be W10116790. Hope this helps!
