Hello. In the photos it appears to part (Tub-Outer), I can appreciate a grease. This grease sell it separately? or can give me an alternative to this grease, performing the same function of protecting the water from entering the bearing

I need to replace the outer tub bearings on this washer. I see you offer the whole outer tub which looks like it comes with the bearings, but I don't need to replace the tub...just the bearings. How can I purchase the bearings (and I believe the seal in there as well) without also purchasing the tub? Thanks.

For the Rear outer tub, 285984, did Whirlpool change the bearing size? I just got a new one and it is bigger than the shaft.

1 repair tech diagnosed the cause of knock on high speed spin as a bad shock & another said the spider on the inner tub was bad. I don't feel any play on the pulley at the back of the outer tub. The shocks seem a little sloppy but seem all the same. How can I determine the cause of the knock?

This unit was bought in October of 2003 (9 years ago). The outer tub has failed so both tubs will need replacing. The warranty says 2 through 10 years, the outer tub is covered. How does the do-it-yourselfer get free parts without involving a costly serviceman?

I have the heavy banging sound on spin cycle along with the popular plastic scraps shedding in my wash as mentioned here already. But I also have a bad leak occurring at the front of the washer and a squeal coming from the inside rear when it transitions to rinse. Do I replace the whole tub assy and if so could you assist me in the correct parts I will need to complete this job? I realize parts of this issue has already been addressed but I would like to be sure. Additional recommendations will be of great value!! Thank You.

I have a 2005 whirlpool Duet that has a banging noise on high speed spin towards the end of the cycle. I have repalced the shocks and the noise is still there. I cleaned out the pump strainer and found some small 3/16 x 1" pieces of black plastic. There is some out of roundness when you rotate the drum and some movement if you lift the inner drum from the outside. There is no water leaking. Is the tub bearing bad?

Is the seal available? I have found and replaced the bearings, but would have liked to replace the seal, because I beleive this took out the bearings.
