I understand we need to replace the ball bearing unit as it sounding very noisy. Has it been your experience that this is normal after as little as one year - and if replaced will it have the similar life expectancy?
thanks

Tom for Model Number WFW9470WW
Answer Hi Tom. No this is a uncommon failure issue. I have seen premature failure with oxyclean product being used. Has there been any fault codes? Is the unit level and the leg nuts locked in place ? The outer tub is part # W10290562. The inner tub is part # W10283352. The pulley Nut is part # W10283361. Look at the run out of the pulley part # 8182650. The inner tub gasket is part # 8181673. If it was bent or wobbling then this may have contributed to it being out of round and throwing all off balance. Thank you.
Does the new outer rear tub with bearings replace the defective ones Whirlpool/Maytag originally made?
