I have received tub support 280184 which includes the top seal labeled pack-sub 282401and shield. How do you install the pack-sub on the support; instructions show figures but don't explain how to install? Do I need to add any lubricant to the interior of the center support before installing spin tube/brake assembly?

The gearcase screw (old p/n 3357334) that holds the gearcase to the support & brake tub (p/n 8575214) broke off in the support leg. Can that broken screw be removed by drilling it and using an easy-out? Or is the screw too hardened to drill? Thanks

Outer tub leans to one side and when tub spins it wobbles badly. Could this be what a service man called the "triangulor suspension system" or as I found in a parts list "triangle tub support" Part # 280184 (ap3893443). Could this be my problem? whirlpool model #110.92272100

After removing the tub, the post that seems to hold the drive tube is very rusted on the outside. The washer works fine. The new part, #280184, Support & Brake, Tub, looks like it is just a painted metal piece. Or is it powder-coated? Mine has serious bubbling rust on the outside, which may have helped rust the tub basket. The unit was made in 2001. Will this rust out again quickly, as it seems to be in water in normal operation? Was there a seal failure in my unit that caused it to rust so bad? Can I scrape this outer rust off and paint it and reuse that part? Or is it powder-coated?

When putting a new drive tube into a new tube support, I read where you said to put grease on the drive tube. What kind of grease? Can I use like a wheel bearing grease?

The washer is way off balance during spin cycles. The basket spins out of balance and the tub beats against the side of a casing. I saw that the problems could be the suspension springs and the rear spring. I replaced all four, and the problems is still occuring. What could be putting the machine so far out of whack?
