Hi Thanks for the reply, it was helpful. But its not as clear since am having difficulty imagining the procedure. Is there a video that I can watch? From what you said, the tube is connected to a valve in the back bulkhead...is this the one at the back of the ref on the right side close to where the water filter is? The plate on the left top of the ref...are you talking about on top of the ref where the rubber bulb with the tube (the replacement part) is? I do not see any screws. Just a plastic cover that pops out, which exposes the part. And the grommet your talking about is part of the replacement part, right? So if I am understanding this, I pull off the rubber bulb along with the tube, and reinsert the line that will feed back to the valve? Why do I need to take off the ice bin? Sorry lots of questions, thanks.

On top of the unit is a water hose which I believe is the supply to the ice maker. The part is white rubber or composite “bulb” attached to a length of clear plastic hose that inserts thorough the top of the unit. For the second time the bulb has split open across the top and each time the ice maker imitates the fill cycle water fountains from the split “bulb.” The replacement part listed on your site does not resemble the current part. The part pictures appears to be a tube to be inserted into the top of the unit to the water valve that sends water to either the water supply on the door and to the ice maker. Will the replacement part listed on your site “AP4080758” be compatible with the Maytag model I own? Thank you very much.

The water dispenser randomly drips-even when is in the locked position. It is not consistent-sometimes quite steady other times not at all. What part(s) must I replace to correct this problem? Thanks, Mike

I'm having some difficulty removing the old plastic bulb. I'm not sure if there is a certain way to do it, or if I am failing to remove something first. I have removed the cover that goes above it, but not below it. Any suggestions?

The soft plastic bulb on the top of the fridge where the waterline goes into is broken and leaking and I was able to remove it, but where does the waterline connect at? It doesn't seem to run all the way to the bottom of fridge. I pulled from the top and nothing moved where the fridge connects to the house water.
