My check valve broke off and the round part went into the hole on the right. Will this drain through the pipes or would it mess something up. Is there any way to get it out? Thanks

Kevin

My dishwasher fails to drain at the end of a wash cycle (quite a bit of water remains in the bottom). If I start a rinse cycle and then hit the cancel button after a minute then it is able to drain completely. This makes me think that there can't be a clog in the drain line and that the drain pump must be working correctly, but I still can't figure out why it isn't draining at the end of a full wash cycle.

Hello, Our dishwasher has decided it no longer wants to clean the items on the top shelf. We replaced the inlet valve thinking that was the issue, but it isn't. The dishwasher has water pressure, all 3 spinners spin, however the top has just a trickle of water coming thru it. We took the unit apart and all spinners were clean, no clogged holes. The bottom filter area looks super clean, too. So wondering if replacing the pump would help or perhaps the issue is the food grinder area? Clueless and frustrated right now.

My Whirlpool QP III recently started to not drain between cycles and at the end of the last cycle. Cleaned everything under spray arm and the hose is clear. If I press the cancel/drain the standing water drains completely every time. Sometimes the cycles end properly, but that is the exception.

The top sprayer of the dishwasher does not work. It is not blocked and the sprayer does spin. I don't think water is going up the pipe to the top sprayer. The water drains fine and the bottom sprayer does work. I did all the basic cleaning of the grinder and sump area. Thanks in advance.

I have a Whirlpool dishwasher GU2300XTVB1 and it does not drain. I removed the drain hose from under the washer and water flowed freely. I could not blow or suck from the drain hose at all? Do you think I need to replace the check valve? Any instructions available? Also should I replace the impellers at this time? Thanks

You spoke of additional info on how to replace check valve. My dishwasher is not draining. 1. Water did drain when I pulled drain hose from sink. so I assumed no blockage. 2. I do not have a meter but Impeller looks good on drain pump. so check valve?

I believe the check valve is bad as gray water fills in tub even when dishwasher is not running. This happens when I have any slight blockage in sink trap or disposer out pipe. Do you think that this is my problem?

Seems as though water flow from the spray arms diminishes quickly during cycle. Fill valve operating correctly, fill valve screen is clear and initial fill time cycle seems correct. Have checked for obstructions at pump filter and impeller screen, also cleaned crud off of grinder wheel and filter. Wash cycle still not great. The drop in rotation and pressure is audible, then if I dump in a pan or four of additional water the pressure picks right back up and carries on the cycle, sometimes with clean dishes and other times with soap residue. The drain pump works when called for and the sump is always empty at end of the wash. Could the check valve be at fault here for losing water too soon? (Drain hose is routed per factory) Thanks in advance for your input.
