My dishwasher does not drain. We have trouble shoot it.. What can I do to fix it?
You will want to check the drain for obstructions. If no obstructions then you will want to turn the unit on and check to see if there is 120 vac to the pump motor. If there is then replace the pump and if not then replace the control board.
I have a Whirlpool dishwasher GU2300XTVB1 and it does not drain. I removed the drain hose from under the washer and water flowed freely. I could not blow or suck from the drain hose at all? Do you think I need to replace the check valve? Any instructions available? Also should I replace the impellers at this time? Thanks
Answer Hello Chuck,
Did you try removing the other end of the drain hose? If not, you should and be aware that there is another check valve made in the hose itself. You should be able to blow through the hose toward the drain from the dishwasher end, but the check valve in the drain hose W10481093 will prevent you from blowing back toward the dishwasher.
