The dishes on the top rack are left dirty. Especially the ones in the corners of the rack.
We have replaced the lower inlet valve and that seemed to fix the problem for about 4 weeks. Could this be the valve inlet to the upper rack? If so, how do I get at it?
Answer Hello. You will need to remove the spray arms and make sure they are clear of debris. There is only one inlet valve on this unit. Also check the float and make sure it is clean, allowing enough water to come into the unit. Hope this helps.

My dishwasher is leaking water. Usually happens in the morning and it has not been running all night. Is this a valve problem?
If the unit is leaking and the tub is filled with water then the most likely cause would be the water valve allowing water to enter the unit.
Dishwasher is very loud at start of cycle when filling. Does this mean the fill valve is bad? Please advise. Thank you.
Answer Jennifer, Based on the post information, Yes, you most likely have an issue in the water valve 8531669. When you replace the valve, you also want to "flush" the water supply line for 30 to 60 seconds, to clear any accumulated debris in the pipes.
Does not rinse.See soap bubbles at the bottom at the end of the whole cycle. What could be the problem?
Answer Hello Seth,
You may want to check your drain to make sure that the drain is clear and check pump for obstructions. Also you should start a cycle without anything in the unit and no detergent to see if bubbles are appearing. If this is the case you can use a little veggie oil or salt in the cycle to disperse suds. The unit may need to be run through a couple of cycles to cleanse system of excess build up of detergent. You may also need to reduce the amount of detergent being used.
Water will not fill machine. Runs through cycle with no other problems.
Answer Hello Frank,
To check the unit for normal operation:
1. Check that the overflow protection float is free to move "up" and "down" Check that the overfill switch in opening and closing properly electrically and mechanically.
2. Check for continuity between the contacts on the fill valve.
3. Check for 120VAC between P8 and P2-3.
If further assistance is needed, please let us know.
The water is not completely being emptied. If I have a clog how do I find it ? Could there be another reason? The cycle is complete, machine will not drain ?
Answer Hi Karen. Use a bucket and remove the drain hose connected under the sink. Use a screwdriver and check the sink drain for clogs. Also check the hose end for clogs. Make sure the drain hose is looped and mounted hi on the back wall under the sink. It creates a p-trap so the sink water does not drain back into the unit. Remove the drain hose at the pump and see if the flapper is ripped in bad repair that acts as a check valve part # 8268375. If the pump impeller is spinning loose on the pump shaft needs replaced with pump part # W10348269. Then if you have not yet found the issue, Remove the racks and the top of the sump pump assy. Quickly you will get to the chopper blade. Clean this area and free the blade to macerate waste food/debris. If it needs replaced the chopper assy. is part # 8268383. Thank You.
Water is coming out of this part when the dishwasher is running I'm not sure why. The hose isn't leaking. It is coming out of this part number. Can you tell me why and if I can fix it?
Answer Hello Nick. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the inlet valve W10195536 is cracked or has failed and needs to be replaced. Check and make sure none of the hoses are clogged and causing this problem. If not, you will need to replace the inlet valve. Hope this helps.
The water overflows in the dishwasher and when I open the door it doesn't stop. What part should I look at replacing?
Answer Hello Marshall! If you cut the power to the unit and the unit continues to fill, this will indicate a bad water valve. Your part number is W10158389. Thanks!
