Washer will not pump out water on spin cycle. I've reached under and can spin the pulley, but it's not free and easy. that being said, it still had the belts and hoses attached. When running on spin cycle the drum does spin around but there is no water being pumped out and there is a smell of rubber burning. What do you suppose it is? Any help you can provide is great. thanks
Answer Hi Dan. Remove the belts and then turn the motor part # W10411000 ,pump part # 6-2022030 . Use a shop vac and towels to pick up the water when you remove the pump and see if anything internal is stopping the pump vanes from turning. Is the motor not turning freely or is the motor glides starving for a light greasing so the glides will slide. Check belts for wear, if needed order 12112425. Let me know how to assist in the future. Thank You.
After the washer goes through the spin cycle it leave about 2 to 3 inches of waster in the tub. It does not do this all the time but most of the time. Do I need to replace the pump?
Answer Hello Charles. Check and make sure the pump belt is good and it is not clogged. Also, make sure the water is shutting off properly and is not filling during spin. If all of this is good, replace the pump assembly 6-2022030. Hope this helps.
Hi. I have a maytag comercial washer and is not draining at all.
Answer Hello Tony. Check the pump belt 211124 and make sure it is not bad. Also, turn the pump pulley by hand and make sure it is not locked up. If so, you will need to replace the pump assembly 6-2022030. Hope this helps.
WHEN WASHER SITS UNPLUGED AND OFF,WASHER SLOWLY FILLS WITH WATER?
Answer Richard, its not the drain pump, it would be the water fill valve on the back of the machine 205613. The internal diaphram has an issue and is allowing water to bypass and flow into the tub. Thanks and Good Luck
Water flows into the washer chamber but it won't shut off. Agitation is not present.
Answer Hi Aurthur. Look at the drain hose at the drain pipe. Is the drain standpipe as high as the top of the washer or higher? Is there a air- lock at the hose / drain pipe so the water siphons right through as if the drain hose is level with the floor. Simply pull the drain hose out of the pipe to inturrpt the siphon lock. Then see if all is normal. Correct as necessary. If this don't work, then start washer with a regular fill. Once started you unplug the washer and if the water continues to fill, replace the faulty water valve part # 285805. Thank you.
Everytime I run my machine, the first cycle will always have a terrible smell come out after the water drains. If I do more than one load it's fine. Everything seems to be working in it and I'm just wondering where that smell is coming from and what I should do.
Answer Hi Quang. Is the drain hose properly installed? It needs to enter the top area of the inner sink cabinet. It should be looped in a circle and then clamped tight as far as you can behind the sink, then taught to the drain. It sounds like it is drooping and settling with drain water or backing up. Use Glisten part # is TJ129 monthly. Thank you.
I have a small leak that appears to be coming from the pump. I checked the hoses and they seem fine. This seems to happen in the spin cycle. New pump?
Answer Hello Karen. If the pump is leaking, you will need to change the pump assembly 6-2022030. To do this, remove the belt from the pump on the bottom of the washer. Then remove the two screws holding the front panel in place. Pull out on the bottom of the front panel and remove it. Next remove the screws securing the pump assembly in place. Reinstall with the new pump in reverse order. Hope this helps.
My old washer is leaking small amount of water when filling the tub. I checked the inlet hoses and are fine. When I fill the tub with water from a bucket, there is no water leaking. I am trying to figure out how to open it up or remove the cover to see inside where the leak is. how do you take the cover off??
Answer Babs, you most likely have a corroded injector nozzle and valve, or damaged/ loose injector hose : 213015 216201 206154, To access the components, you'll need to remove the front panel, Remove the Two(2) phillips head screws at the bottom of the front panel, swing the panel out at the bottom, until the top clips unhook from the top. Using a 3/8 inch socket or nut driver, Remove the attachment bolts(1 on each side, front corner) holding the top, to the cabinet, disconnect the bleach dispenser hose(if applicable, and raise the top of the washer. Once the top is up, the components we're concerned with are located in the left rear corner of the cabinet. Remember, to unplug the power cord and turn off the water at the faucets. Thanks and Good Luck.
Water leaks from washer ONLY when I wash with hot water. After talking to a friend, I believe I need to replace a seal but I did not see it on the diagram.
Answer Hello Karen. You will need to look and see if the water valve 205613 is leaking on the hot side. If so, you will need to replace the water valve. If it is leaking around the top of the transmission, you will need to replace the tub seal 6-2040130 6-2095720. Hope this helps.
