The pulley melted on the motor shaft. Any suggestions on getting this hard stuff off and making this bad looking rusted shaft accept a new pulley that will stay on and function? Thanks

Actually I found the agitator shaft to be rusted onto the tub basket. In the process now trying to free it. Any ideas how to remove rust?

I found the pulley i need but i don't understand how it connects to the motor shaft the old appears to have been held by epoxy only. I see no groves on the pulley but the shaft does seem to have some grooves.
