I need to replace the motor pulley! I not sure how the best way to get the old pulley off! Can you tell me the best way to remove old pulley without causing any damage to motor shift? Please help! Thanks!

Answer Hello Shug. You will need to take a pair of channel lock pliers and pull it off. If it will not come off and has melted to the motor shaft, you will need to use a hammer and chisel and cut it off. Be careful not to damage the motor shaft. Hope this helps.

Actually I found the agitator shaft to be rusted onto the tub basket. In the process now trying to free it. Any ideas how to remove rust?

There is a bearing located underneath the thrust pulley but the tension pulley is part of the motor assembly. The motor slides for the tensioning and there is a spring on the motor and motor plate that allows the tension.
