My washer spins but not fast enough. It leaves the clothes too wet. This happened after I washed a comforter that was too big. From other posts I have read it sounds like the solenoid. Does this sound like a DIY project and does it sound like I have the correct part?

My washer wasn't draining the water during/after the spin cycle. I took the hoses off and found a piece of clothing stuck in the drain pump. I removed the clothing and ran a small load through the machine to see if the issue was fixed. It's still not draining the water and seems to smell like burnt rubber during the cycle. Any suggestions on what my next step is/should be???
