Is there a special tool to remove pump?
Answer Hello Doug. There are three star head screws that will need to be removed to remove the pump. The pump can be tight and you may have to move it back and forth to work it off the shaft. Hope this helps.

How to replace a belt?
Answer Hello Bob. Loosen hose clamps and remove hoses from pump
assembly. Unhook idler spring from clip on front of the motor
mounting bracket. Reach in and around left side of motor and remove
belt off large drive pulley. Disconnect wire harness from motor switch by
pressing down on locking tab on top of connection
block and at the same time, pull connection block
away from motor switch. Remove bolts securing motor and mounting bracket to
lower outer tub flange and to weldment assembly. Remove motor. Remove screws securing pump assembly to motor. Remove and replace the belt.
I am trying to change the belt. I cannot get the pump off. 3 screws out and loosened 2 set screws on shaft. Pulled hard but it will not come off.
Answer Hello Jerry,
The pump has leaked a bit and the motor shaft has rusted. This swells the shaft and makes it hard to remove. You will probably have to break the pump carefully from the motor so you don't damage the motor. When you get it off, use sandpaper to make the shaft easy to slide into the new pump assembly. Before installing the new pump onto the motor shaft, apply grease or petroleum jelly to the mootr shaft to prevent the issue from occurring again.
How do I install my new water prump on this washer?
Answer Hello Jerry. To install the pump 27001233 you will need to remove the front panel on the unit. Next remove the belt from the unit. Once the belt is removed, you will remove the motor and pump assembly from the unit. Then remove the screws securing the pump to the motor. Now replace the pump on the unit. Make sure the belt is positioned the same way on the new pump as it was on the old pump.
