Do I need a bypass plug for not using water filter? Thanks very much!
Answer Hello Peter,
The bypass plug you will need so you can use your water dispenser is part number 12664501.
I want to use the bypass filter since the water coming into my refrigerator is already filtered. Will I be able to use the ice maker and water dispenser? If so, how can I reset the filter so it doesn't tell me to put a new one in?
Answer Hello Cindy,
You can certainly use the water dispense and icemaker with the bypass plug installed but, unfortunately, the unit will still count down time to notify of filter change time. You will just have to reset it when it indicates it is time to change the filter.
