When I turn my machine on, it does not fill up. I have to manually fill it with water then turn it on to wash. What do you suggest
Fitz for Model Number MAV7200AWW
Answer Hello Fitz. It sounds like you may have a bad water valve. There are a couple of different water valves used on this machine. If you could provide us with your serial number we would be happy to provide you with the correct part information for your series. Thanks

We cannot get a cold water wash? Only hot or warm wash cycle. Is this the pump?
Ron for Model Number MAV 7600AWW
Answer Hello Ron. Check the screens on the water valve and make sure they are not clogged. If they are clear, you will need to change the valve. Hope this helps.

I am only able to get hot water to flow into the machine. I suspect it is either the filter screen in the water valve or a poor connection on the 4-way wash/rinse switch. Can I make this determination without dismantling the water valve? And is there a procedure for dismantling the valve?
Terry for Model Number MAV6200AWW
Answer Terry, Dismantling the water valve would not solve your issue, there are no repairable, replaceable parts inside, you'll need a new fill valve
22002707. You can remove the water fill hose from the valve and check to see that the debris screen in the valve body opening is clogged. It's not likely to be a faulty water temp switch 22002999 or wire, either, but you could verify the switch circuits. You'll need to remove power to the washer, Remove the three(3) phillips head screws across the rear top edge of the control console and end caps, and roll the control panel towards the front of the washer, to access the wiring and control switches, and the wiring diagram.
I went to do my final load of laundry the other night and my washer wouldn't stop filling up and it had done fine on the previous loads the same day. Is there a valve or switch possibly going bad or something I need to clean?
Tina for Model Number MAV6257AWW
Answer Hello Tina! It could possibly be the inlet valve or the pressure switch. If you unplug the unit and it stops filling you will need to check the pressure switch hose and make sure it is not kinked or clogged and replace the switch 22002706. If you unplug the unit and it continues to fill you will need to replace the inlet valve. We will need your appliance serial number to determine the correct inlet valve used on your product as there is a series change. Thanks!
What does the thermistor do?
Mora for Model Number MAV7757AWW
Answer Mora, In your case, the thermistor controls the water temperature in the wash tub. Depending on temperature selected on the control panel, when the thermistor resistance reaches a certain range , the fill valve solenoids will be activated or de activated to maintain the water temperature selected. We hope this helped, Thanks and Good Luck
Almost everytime I press the button for cold water, it comes out hot. What piece do I need to fix this problem? Thank you.
Joe C. for Model Number MAV7257AWW
Answer Hello Joe. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve 12002158 is bad and will need to be replaced. The new valve comes with the thermistor. Hope this helps.
