Will the inlet valve 2315576 you carry 'fit' my 2001 kenmore refrig for ice maker water supply? Thanks, Jim
Answer Hello Jimn! Yes, the inlet valve 2315576 is the correct manufacturer replacement and will fit your model 10671184100. Thanks!
I replaced the water inlet valve to the ice maker but still no water coming out of the valve, I do have water comming in. What should I look for next?
Answer Hello David. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
I goofed an unplugged the ice maker water inlet valve an not I cant remember which way it went.
Answer Hello Nomad. Just install the wires onto the unit. It does not matter which wire is where.
I am not sure if my first question went thru, so here it is again. We have installed 2 ice makers and 2 inlets valves. The first i maker was defective? Then we put in an ice maker and an inlet valve. The water just runs thru even when the refrigerator is unplugged. I am going to recieve a third inlet valve, but really don't think that is the problem. I'm running out of options.
Answer Hello Sue,
If the water valve isn't closing, it sounds like a water pressure problem. There must be enough water pressure to close the valve. Remove the water line from the water valve and place it in a bucket or plastic trash can. Turn on the water and see of the water pressure is sufficient. It should spray out like under pressure. If there is only a trickle to the valve, this is where your problem lies.
