My original valve has a screw type outlet connection on it, the new replacement valve has some other type of fitting on the outlet side. How do you connect the outlet tube to the new valve.

'97 Kitchenaid refrigerator, factory installed ice maker which was unused for last 13 yrs (no water line available), moved to new place that has water line, hooked it up, ice maker make 2 ice harvest & then water just kept flowing without stopping, replaced inlet valve however org #2182104 was given 2315576, I cut some of the tubing off that goes up the back so it would fit into new valve, when turned on, about 1 oz of water at each harvest gets dumped out onto the floor and nothing goes up the tube.

I am not sure if my first question went thru, so here it is again. We have installed 2 ice makers and 2 inlets valves. The first i maker was defective? Then we put in an ice maker and an inlet valve. The water just runs thru even when the refrigerator is unplugged. I am going to recieve a third inlet valve, but really don't think that is the problem. I'm running out of options.

This is an icemaker on a Kenmore refrig model 1069751880. 1. I have in my hands a water inlet valve, your #2315576. On the bottom is spot to connect tubing. Is the yellow plug supposed to stay in or get pulled out in running tubing from water inlet value to the tube that goes thru back of refrig into the icemaker? 2. What size tubing goes from water inlet value to the tube that sticks into refrig? My current tubing connections do not match the screw nut that twists on.

Ice maker not making ice. It will go through the cycles. Arm works fine. water comes out of outlet of water inlet valve. There is no water in the tube to ice maker, nor will it travel up the tube. Has the inlet valve gone bad or am I looking in the wrong place? Thank You Kindly, Jeremy
