How are we suppose to attach the output hose the the valve? It looks like its just a push in and the line would come out without any effort.
Julian S for Model Number RS22BRXBW00
Answer Hello Julian. You need to press down on the compression fittings on the water valve 2315576 to release the locking rings and be able to pull out the water lines. Make sure you are pressing and pulling the lines at the same time on the water valve. If not, the lines will not release from the water valve.
In reference to the above part, a solinoid for the ice maker in a Kenmore, I can not stop the leak from the hose to the ice maker. This is the plastic tube that plugs into the solonoid valve at the rubber spacer or what ever it is. The stainless tube insert is in place. Help!
Rich J. for Model Number part # AP3961809
Answer Hi Rich. At the water valve, press in on the yellow locking collar. Push in all the way on the tube to see if it is pushed in all the way. With it pressed in then pull the tubing out and inspect it foe cracks. if you have enough tubing then use a sharp utility knife to cut it exactly square on the end and try it again. If the tubing leaks out of the water valve part # 2315576. The tubing is part# 4387492. Thank You.
The ice maker suddenly quit working. I changed the water inlet valve and it still is not producing ice. The freezer is working perfectly. There is water going to the valve and the ice maker arm is at the 'ON' position. What else should I check?
Alan Flewitt for Model Number Kenmore 106.74949400
Answer Hello Alan,
First you need to check the actual temperature in the freezer compartment. If it doesn't get below 20°F, the ice maker thermostat will never cycle. If your temperature is below 20°F, remove the white cover from the front of the ice maker and tape the door switch down. Now you need a piece of insulated wire at least 3 inches long. Strip the ends and jump the 120Vac from the "T" terminal to the "H" terminal. The wire will have to be held there for at least 60 seconds or until you hear a quiet little "click" from the ice maker. If the ice maker doesn't cycle, check for voltage to the ice maker. There is a fusible link in the power supply line to the ice maker in the red wire. It is clipped to the ice maker to prevent the mold heater from getting too hot. It must be put back into the clip if removed as without it, it can be a hazard. If it cycles replace the ice maker.
Water keeps filling up in my ice maker and dosent stop. What might the problem be?
David M. for Model Number ktrs20mawh10
Answer Hello David. If you can unplug the icemaker or the unit and stop the water, then the icemaker 4317943 will need to be replaced. If you have to turn the water off, then the water valve 2315576 will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
How do you install a water filter on this refrigerator? Where do you attach the filter?

Fingers on ice maker not turning not cycling
Do I have to wait till freezer get down to running temperature before it starts cycling ?
Or how long do I have to wait?
Hector
Answer Hello Hector. Yes, the temperature in the freezer will need to be correct and the icemaker needs to be turned on. Make sure the water valve 2315576 has water coming to it as well. You can manually cycle the icemaker. Here is a link to our Repair Forum, this is a free service to our customers. Use this link to access the repair for your question.
