I'm not getting hot water into the machine during fill up. I cycle the temperature switch from cold, cool, warm and hot a few times and I get hot water but at a slower rate than the cold. It cycles from hot to cold during fill up with the pressure much greater when the cold water comes into the machine. I checked the resistance on the water inlet valves and I'm getting 1,000 ohms on each and I understand that means they are working normally. Do you think the problem is the valves are faulty, screen clogged or is it the water temperature switch.

I had a problem where my machine is not filling with cold water. I replaced the water inlet valve and it worked until I connected the body and put it back in place. Now the machine is still not filling with cold water. What do I check next?

My machine is not filling with water. It will not work on cold water at all, but when I switch to warm or hot, it fills for a few seconds and stops. Is this the water inlet valve?

I have cold water running fine but the warm and hot will not work, doesn't run any water. I hear it hum when the knob is on hot but no water. Is this the water inlet valve that needs to be replaced or is it something else.

My washer will over fill when in the first initail fill I can manually turn the dial to continue washing the load and it works till the fill before the rinse then it will over fill again. But during the last spin/rinse cycle the water will come on and off during that. It just when the washer is in the fill mode. What's wrong and what part do I need?

I was given a whirlpool washer because mine quit working. I was told that you had to manually change the cycles on the machine, but when I tried to use it the cold water continued to run. So, I shut off the cold water and proceeded to use the washer with hot water. After initial filling, and agitation, the washer would not fill because I had shut off the cold water. In order to fill, I needed to turn back on, and then off after filling. Does this seem to be the problem with my washer? Water Intake valve? What's the chance that's the problem, if I order this part?
