My ice maker on my kennmore model 106.56539400 fridge does not dispense water in the ice tray. I put a new filter on and that did not help. The drinking water works fine. I checked the water outlet in the freezer it was not frozen. If it is the water inlet valve how do I get to it to check ?

I have no water to the glass fill, but I do have water to the ice maker and it makes all the ice I need. What is wrong here and what parts do I need to replace.

I came home one day to find my icemaker was pouring water all over my freezer and consequently my kitchen floor. Any idea what caused that? We just shut it off and are using bag ice. Is there a part we need to replace or do we need to replace the entire unit?

The water inlet part does not not look anything like the original part. Can I assume that it will work with the existing hookups in the refrigerator withuot any modifications.thank you.

I've just replaced the older water valve and replaced it with the newer model. After cutting the older hoses, I attached all the proper hoses to the proper size hose fittings by squeezing them in snugly just as your video demonstrated. The problem is when I turn on the water valve, the water shoots out from the water dispenser up top. Any advance?

replaced ice maker a few months back. great until a week ago-started making jack hammer noise when filling with water. water dispenser in front door works fine with no noise. Ice maker started making fewer cubes, so I cleaned out freezer side, unplugged and let it sit for 3 hours. checked outside water line-strong flow. replaced filter- door dispenser water works fine. no noise at all, but no ice (well, one cube) I've been searching through forums and think I need to replace the water inlet valve (W10408179) but since the water dispenser in the door works fine and only the ice maker has issues, I wanted confirmation from an expert before ordering the part. Also, can I reuse the old filter I pulled out since that doesn't seem to have any effect? Thanks so much

I bought a new water inlet valve from someone else. I didn't know about your site until I had problems installing it. Here's my problem. I followed the installation video of Walt and it was a lot of help. But, I still have the same problem as I had with the previous Valve. I don't get any water going in to the ice maker. This is the same problem that I had with the previous valve that was only one year old. Does it sound electrical? Thanks, Paul
