My water line cut is outside the refrigerator in th botton lower right. so, can I use the 5/16 coupler to repair the cut?
Manuel C.
Answer Hello Manuel,
As long as you can access about 1 inch of the line on both lines after you have cut the bad portion off squarely, you can use the push on style John Guess fitting to couple the two lines back together.
If, instead of coiling back uncoiled Water Reservoir Tubing which is located inside the refrigerator, I would just replace it with the new one, are there step-by-step instructions showing how to accomplish this task?

Answer Greg,
There are not step by step instructions in print. To replace the water reservoir you will need to pull unit out and take the rear cover off the unit. Disconnect the line from the water valve and the connection at the bottom of the door. Make sure icemaker and is off when doing this. Take the shelving out to expose reservoir and remove the old reservoir. Once removed and lines pulled out you will then push the new lines in and screw the reservoir to the wall. Reconnect the lines and turn icemaker back on and reinsert shelves.
In order to clean the exterior of the Water Reservoir Tubing which is located inside the refrigerator. I had to uncoil it. How would I coil it back?

Answer Greg,
To get the water reservoir coiled back up you will have to use long zip ties. Once you wind it up put the zip ties around it to keep it together.
I am having a problem with my built-in Kitchenaide side-by-side. There is little or no cold air passing from the freezer side to the refrigerator. Initially I thought it may be the air baffle assembly, but now I believe there may be another problem. The freezer is icing over on the evaporator cover and near the water reservoir. Is it possible for the Evaporator Motor to be bad or what advise could you offer? Thanks

Answer Pete, It sounds like you're on track, now. The issue does sound more like a fan motor 4389155 or defrost issue in the freezer compartment(defrost issue sounds more likely). You may want to open the upper compartment panel and retrieve the tech data information sheet and conduct the diagnostic test modes, before you dismantle the freezer compartment and test the fan and defrost components behind the rear wall of the freezer.
