Good afternoon, i have a similar problem to David as the drum wont spin just makes a spinning sound, drains as normal, could a part that causes the motor to spin be bad or the motor itself?

Hi, I replaced the motor coupling on my Roper washing machine about six weeks ago and it stopped spinning yesterday, is there anything I should look for that may cause this problem other than a faulty part?

I have a Kenmore washing machine- model number 80 series 23822100 type 111. Bought Nov.11, 2002. During agitating and spinning it is making a whining sound. It spins and drains. Can you tell me what could be causing this and how does one remove the agitator. There isn't a slot on the screw looking medal head which I can see in the center, about an inch from the top of the start of the agitator, down in the inside. Does this model have a drive belt. THANKS!

That does help, thanks. I am having a hard time removing the cabinet to check that part. Since it is a washer/dryer combo, are the screws on the bottom or what? Thanks

My Whirlpool washer machine is not spinning during the spin cycle. I attempted to replace a clutch but when I got to removing the shaft from the basket drive it would not slide free. So I was not able to replace the clutch. Now I am wondering do I need to replace the basket drive or is it time to replace the whole washer machine?

My Whirlpool washer fills with water properly at all wash levels, but does nothing else, i.e., won't agitate drain or spin. The timer advances normally and from all indications the lid switch works properly. There's no noise and/or humming of any kind. Any suggestions as to what the issue may be?

In the process of changing the direct drive coupling, I dis- connected the wires to the capacitor and broke one of the connector heads. Will I need to replace it with a manufacturers part or can I go to home depot and use a similar part?
