Hi, I replaced the motor coupling on my Roper washing machine about six weeks ago and it stopped spinning yesterday, is there anything I should look for that may cause this problem other than a faulty part?

I have a Kenmore washing machine- model number 80 series 23822100 type 111. Bought Nov.11, 2002. During agitating and spinning it is making a whining sound. It spins and drains. Can you tell me what could be causing this and how does one remove the agitator. There isn't a slot on the screw looking medal head which I can see in the center, about an inch from the top of the start of the agitator, down in the inside. Does this model have a drive belt. THANKS!

That does help, thanks. I am having a hard time removing the cabinet to check that part. Since it is a washer/dryer combo, are the screws on the bottom or what? Thanks

In the process of changing the direct drive coupling, I dis- connected the wires to the capacitor and broke one of the connector heads. Will I need to replace it with a manufacturers part or can I go to home depot and use a similar part?

With your great video I was able to replace the motor coupling on my Kenmore 80 series washer. When putting the clips back on the motor if I get the top one on the bottom one won't go on. If I put the bottom one on first the top one won't go on. If I could get that 2nd clip on it would be back together in 5 minutes or less. Hate to call a repair person just to get the clip back on.
