How I can buy and receive a whirlpool direct drive washer pump
OEM in Miami FL?
Answer Hello Edmur O. Call us at 1-877-477-7278 and will will help you place the order for the part. Thanks.
Cold water is barely running hot works fine.
You will want to pull the cold water hose off of the water valve to check the screen on the valve. The screen may be clogged with debris which would cause slow fill. If the screen is clear then you want to check to make sure that you are getting good water flow from the hose and if you are then you need to replace the water valve.
Thanks for helping me resolve a problem with a motor coupling part. I bought in town because I needed the machine today. I have reassembled my machine (GREAT video help!) and the machine is walking and shaking. Any suggestions?
Answer Hello John,
The rear legs of these machines are made on a ratcheting device. As per the manufacturer, if these units are scooted even 1/4 of an inch, the unit should be re-leveled. Leveling these is not done with a bubble level but by simply equalizing the weight of the machine to each of the four feet so it doesn't wobble. This is done on this design machine by tilting the unit forward onto the front feet and the rear feet off the floor. When the weight comes off of the rear feet, the ratcheting device will make an audible "click". This sound is the device going back to the centered position. If you hear no sound when the unit is tilted forward, the device is most likely stuck due to rust or dirt build-up on the mechanism. In this case, you can tilt the unit forward and tap on one of the rear feet with a wrench or something to drop both rear legs to the centered position. When the unit is lowered back onto the rear feet it will be in its' centered position and should operate normally.
WE have a sour smell coming from the washer.I have cleaned with vinegar, and baking soda.Is it possible that the pump is bad and letting smell back in from the drain. Thanks for any help on this. John
Answer John, If the installation is correct, there is always a small amount of water in the drain pump and hoses. This works as a seal and keeps "stack gas" from enterring into the machine. As long as the drain hose is not "sealed" to the drain pipe, you should be fine. The most likely issue is a build up on the tubs from detergent, softner and dirty and oil from the articles washed. You may want to use a product like "Affresh" W10135699, to remove any residue from the tubs.
