Answer Hello Brian. Lid switch sounds fine. Try turning the pump and motor and see if it is clogged and locked up.

Answer Darrell, You will want to pull the cold water hose off of the water valve to check the screen on the valve. The screen may be clogged with debris which would cause slow fill. If the screen is clear then you want to check to make sure that you are getting good water flow from the hose and if you are then you need to replace the water valve.

Answer Hello Lazar. It sounds like the unit is siphoning out the water in the unit. Check and make sure there is only 6" of drain hose in the drain pipe. Also, make sure the drain pipe is 36" off the floor in height. You will need to check and make sure the drain hose has an air gap going into the drain pipe. If it is air tight, it will siphon.

Answer Mary, You would want to check the lid switch by doing a continuity test. You would access the lid switch wires and check across them with the lid in the closed position. If the lid switch shows continuity then it is ok and if not then you would need to replace the switch.

Answer Hello John, The rear legs of these machines are made on a ratcheting device. As per the manufacturer, if these units are scooted even 1/4 of an inch, the unit should be re-leveled. Leveling these is not done with a bubble level but by simply equalizing the weight of the machine to each of the four feet so it doesn't wobble. This is done on this design machine by tilting the unit forward onto the front feet and the rear feet off the floor. When the weight comes off of the rear feet, the ratcheting device will make an audible "click". This sound is the device going back to the centered position. If you hear no sound when the unit is tilted forward, the device is most likely stuck due to rust or dirt build-up on the mechanism. In this case, you can tilt the unit forward and tap on one of the rear feet with a wrench or something to drop both rear legs to the centered position. When the unit is lowered back onto the rear feet it will be in its' centered position and should operate normally.

Answer Ed, Yes, you'll want to check to see if there is something stuck between the tubs and or in the drain pump 3363394. The humming noise and smell presumably, is the motor trying to turn, but it can't, so the lid switch is working.

Answer John, If the installation is correct, there is always a small amount of water in the drain pump and hoses. This works as a seal and keeps "stack gas" from enterring into the machine. As long as the drain hose is not "sealed" to the drain pipe, you should be fine. The most likely issue is a build up on the tubs from detergent, softner and dirty and oil from the articles washed. You may want to use a product like "Affresh" W10135699, to remove any residue from the tubs.
