Originally, my washing was shaking a lot during the spin cycle. So I replaced the springs, but that didn't fix the problem. Then I replaced the suspension pads, the other pads that are plastic that snap into the metal frame, but that didn't fix the problem. So then I replaced the drive block and the tub gasket, and now it makes a loud banging noise only during the spin cycle. Then the coupler broke, so I replaced that, but it still makes a loud banging/clunking noise in the spin cycle. This is different than the original problem. It makes a clunk/bang noise about every second in the spin cycle. Please help. What is making the clunk/bang noise? I don't know what I did or what is the problem.

I had a whirlpool pump replaced yesterday on my washing machine. When I looked into the two large holes on the old pump I saw a black looking fabric. Is that part of the pump?

I had trouble wiith the spin cycle so I changed the motor coupler. It is still making a grinding noise like it needs grease somewhere that does it thru all functions of the cycle. Im thinking maybe the tub suspension pads but there was quite a bit of rust built up on the front motor shaft where the pump is but I don't see the pump dripping any water in fact it's not even wet. Can I grease that front shaft of the motor?

My washer fills, agitates but won't drain. The lid switch was trashed and with a new one from you it worked great. Now, 6 mos later, it fills and agitates but won't go further. It makes an electrical hum noise like it wants to do something but stops after a minute. About 10 mins later it tries again and won't advance so it stops. I did an ohms test on the lid switch and it is good. After turning the drain pump gears it worked again for a few months but now it is doing it again? Any ideas. Should the drain pump gears be able to spin in both directions?
