I think I have a bad pump and have removed it for inspection. With the pump removed, I stuck a tool in the outlet to turn the impeller and it turned very hard. How freely should it turn and what else should I look for?
Answer Mark, You've looked far enough, the impeller shaft should turn rather freely, especially if you're using a tool. Apparently the pump shaft bearings are starting to seize and cause a "drag" on the motor. Replace the pump 3363394 and you should be fine.
Do the clips come with 3363394-ap2907492? If not how can I find them?
Answer Hello! No, the washer pump 3363394 does not include the clips. If you need the retaining clips you'll need to order part number 8546127. Thanks.
My washer leaks water on the floor during rinse. Only on occasion.
Answer Hello Phil. Check and see if you can locate where the unit is leaking from. Check the water valve and the pump on the unit. Either could cause the unit to leak.
Washer will fill and agitate for the wash cycle then pause. After the pause it will not rinse and spin.
If the unit is draining but not spinning after the wash cycle and then does not fill for the rinse and spin then you will want to check to see if the pressure hose is clogged. Also check the water valve screens to make sure that they are not clogged with debris. If clogged clean water valve. You will also want to check the clutch to make sure that it is good.
New motor from you installed, still have problem on high spin a load squealing sound.
Answer Allen, When you replaced the motor 661600 , did you check the drain pump drive hub 3363394 for noise or a "drag" when you turned the hub. If all's Ok, then you need to lower the gearcase and check the clutch assembly 285785 and brake shoes 285438 for excess wear and slippage. Either of these parts will produce a squealing noise in the spin cycle.
