I turned the dryer on and it makes a loud scraping noise. I took the front panel off and the belt appears to be OK. The felt on the back of the drum was kind of folded over and I tried to straighten it out. When I put it back together and turned it on, it makes the same noise? What do I do now?

Before starting the replacement of a dryer belt, we need to unplug the electric power. How about the gas line? Need to be disconnected too or don't touch it at all?

Hello, My belt broke and I saw shreds inside. It's a seven y/o dryer. Is it normal to see shreds or do the motor or idle pully need o be replace also? I believe that the grove side faces down for my model right? I dont have a clear access to install due to the fan and something else blocking it. So i'd have to reach in between the smsll side slots. Can i ake them apart to have better access or will i have to put the belt on without being able to see everything? Finally, do I wrap belt through the motor pully first or the idle pully? One is on the left the ther on the right.

SHREDDED BELT??? Recently I had I purchased from you two rear drum rollers and a new belt for the drum. Your video was very helpful. Everything was good for about two weeks and the drum stopped again. The new belt has shredded and I have no idea why. The idler pulley seemed fine but it is the only item I can think of that may be defective. I hate to keep putting on new belts just to have them get ruined, do you have any idea what I can look for to avoid this from happening again.

Hi. Would it be possible to fit this belt onto a MDG6200AWW Maytag dryer even though the difference with the 33002535 belt is length (~1") and rib count (4 Vs. 5)? Could it work? Thanks.

My dryer just made a clunk sound and stopped rotating. The heat continued. I believe it must be the belt or possible pulley. When I check for the belt, I get a part number. AP2946843. Will this work in my dryer -model LE5800XPNO?

My dryer has always spueeked. Turned it on the other day and it vibrated real bad. Spun drum by hand and it seemed to turn freely. Took it apart as per your belt video and can't seem to find anything obvious. Belt was not broken or torn, rollers all turned freely with noise. Could this be just the belt is worn out or stretched? Anything else I should check? Thanks, David
