I put a new belt on my whirlpool dryer and now the drum turning slow and its hesitating. Please advise. Thank you.
Answer Hello Mactruck. Make sure the belt is installed properly and the rollers are not binding on the unit. You can turn the drum by hand to determine this issue.
I need a drum belt for my dyer and am curious if part # AP2946843 will work? Thank you.
Answer Hello Jan! Yes, the dryer belt 341241 is the correct replacement and will fit your model LE5720XSW0. Thanks!
My dryer makes a squeaking and thumping noise. What would cause that??
Answer Hello Dee,
You will want to check your idler pulley for wear and the drum rollers. Inspect them for free turning worn bearings and check the shafts for wear.
When the dryer is first turned on the drum doesn't turn, but after a couple of minutes begins to turn. Heat works great. What could be the problem?
Answer Hello HT,
You will want to have the dryer door open and someone pushing on the door switch. With door switch pushed, have someone push start and the person holding the swith to spin the drum. If the drum continues to spin then you will want to replace motor due to a bad start winding.
Will whirlpool belt# 341241 fit this dryer? Thanks
Answer Hello Carter, your model is missing the 3 digit prefix at the beginning that identifies the manufacturer of the machine. If it is "110"77955110 then it would be a Whirlpool model and belt part# 341241 would be correct for your model. However, you may want to order maintenance kit# 4392065 instead, which includes the belt, support rollers, and idler pulley. Thanks!
