The above items says No longer includes bail arms. Does that mean the unit does not need a bail arm. If it does require one what is the part number?
Ron
Answer Ron, ice maker 4317943 no longer includes the bail arms, but they are needed. You can use 627792 if you have a top and bottom mount refrigerator and 2304354 if you have a side by side refrigerator. Hope this helps!

I just installed a new ice maker and the water isn't running into the ice maker yet is it because it is not cooled off yet.
John
Answer John,
Give the unit approximately 1 1/2 hrs to 2 hrs for the icemaker to cycle to see if water comes into the unit.
After install icemaker is only making 4 trays of ice per day. Is there an adjustment?
Larry B for Model Number part #626662
Answer Larry,
You will want to check the water fill on the unit as if it is not bringing in enough water it will cause the unit to have longer times between ice production. You will also want to check your freezer temperatures. If the freezer temp is not cold enough it will take longer to cycle.
I have a Kitchenaid KTRS22ELWH01 refrigerator with the ice maker in the freezer. My ice maker was giving hollow cubes and I kept finding ice on the back of the ice tray as if water was dripping. This has been going on for awhile and now I get nothing even though I hear the ice maker motor. Do I need to replace the water inlet valve or the ice maker itself or both ? Thanks.
Steve for Model Number KTRS22ELWH01
Answer Steve, If the water dispenser is working, you'll need to replace the "dual" valve 2188785, if neither the dispenser or the ice maker is working, replace the "single" inlet valve 2188784 , Also check and flush the water supply line to the inlet valve, and replace any in line water filter. Hollow cubes and sputterring from the water fill tube is also an indication of low water pressure.
