Answer Hello Ken. It senses the temperature inside the unit. Based on the readings you gave the assembly DA97-02045B is good. You will need to test the heater assembly DA47-00154A. It should read closed for continuity. If it is open, it is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
