Brand new refrigerator, the water dispenser does not shut off when removing glass.
Answer Ron, Like all new refrigerators you have to make sure you have at least 32 PSI water supply pressure at the water supply tube where it connects to the water inlet valve(s). A low water pressure situation can cause the dispenser to react slowly and drip after the glass is removed. If the pressure isn't the issue, you need to flush the water dispenser system. Any air left in the tubing or the water tank or filter housing, will also cause the dispenser to drip. You may have to dispense as much as 1 or 2 gallons of water from the dispenser, or until there is no "sputtering" or dribbling from the dispenser.
The refrigerator does not dispenser water from the fountain, but provides water to ice maker.
Answer Hello Kizito. See if there is power coming to the water valve when the dispenser is pressed. If so, you will need to replace the water valve DA74-40149D on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Answer Hello Roy. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the evap assembly DA96-00020Q is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
