When is the evaporator fan in the back of the freezer supposed to run? What could be the problem if it doesn't run? Doesn't seem like freezer is working as effectively as it used to. I've verified coils are frosting up and getting cold but fan is not turning, isn't fan supposed to turn to help circulate cold air? I've read online that fan shuts off when door opens is that true for all models? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My freezer side is working great, but, the fresh food side is warm. Evaporator fan was making noise on the fridge side not the freezer side. Where is this fan located, and what do I remove to access it? Thanks

My freezer is not freezing, and it seems to be icing up? I read a few comments on here and it seems to be a evaporator fan motor? Can you tell me where it is located on my fridge/freezer?

Hello, My problem is like most my fridge freezer works fine but the refridge side is warm. My problem started when the evap fan stopped working and the refridge side got warm (fan was making a noise - ice). I opened the back panel to find the evap fan frozen in the stopped position (would not turn) and a large blob of ice on the top left of the evap where the coolong line enteres the fridge. I defrosted the fridge and removed the evap fan from its housing and layed it on the outside of the back panel so I could see if it was working when the door was colsed. Quickly opening the door I saw the fan spinning and then stopping. i quess its working as its supposed to. Where is the door switch located to turn the evap fan on? As well what should I be looking at next to solve this issue? Thank You
