Had a problem, it started 2 weeks ago. Fridger temp wasn't stay @ the ideal temp. as 36 it went up to 58 it didn't come down. - Freezer's just working fine! I plugged out for a day and plugged back, it went back to working @temp 36. A few days ago, exactly same problem happened again and this time seemed moter never stop, being noisey. So last night I plugged power out, now it's working again. I think it works as temporary, problem would be back. So can you help for solving this kind of problem?! Thanks.

Answer David, You will want to pull the evaporator cover that is on in the back of the refrigerator compartment. You will want to check the thermistors for breaks or loose connections and test the thermistors resistance. Also check the heater to make sure that it has continuity. It sounds like you are having a defrost issue and after unplugging for a while it allows it to work again.

Answer Hello Joe, You will want to check to make sure that the evaporator fan motor is running. IF you have impacted evaporator coils then you will want to check for continuity on the defrost thermostat 5303917954 and defrost heater 3206453. If one shows open then replace. If they both check ok then you will need to replaced defrost timer 215846602.

My freezer working fine,fridge not cooling. Same problem I had 2 weeks ago, I tried to repair 2 weeks ago, I couldn't remove back panel for fridge side, it's frozen, so I had to disconnect the power cord & thaw it for a day. I checked fan motor inside the fridge, fan motor was working fine. I having same problem today. There is coil inside fridge side(I believe that is for ice maker or filtered water.Is it defrost heater at freezer side or ????

Answer Hello Paul. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the evaporator assembly DA96-00020Q is bad and will need to be replaced. The heater is made inside it and can only be replaced with the assembly.

The water tank for the door water fountain is freezing up. We can thaw it with a hair dryer blowing warm air. Is this the correct heater? Is it located behind the water tank? Do I replace from the open door side or is the wiring connected to the back side Thanks John
