Samsung electric dryer drum stops a few minutes after starting on any cycle, dryer heats ,runs & stops.
It sounds like the motor could be overheating in which you will want to check the venting to make sure that it is clean and without obstructions. Also check for bad rollers that would cause drag on the motor.
Dryer turns on but drum/motor does not turn. Belt is fine. Door switch is good as is the the belt cut off switch. Tested within normal limits using ohmmeter. Does not throw any diagnostic codes in system check mode. Could the motor still be bad? Start up capacitor bad? How to check for that?
The run capacitor on the motor would not be an issue with the motor starting. You will want to check the thermal fuse to make sure that it has continuity. If it does not then it will need to be replaced. If this checks ok then the motor would be the most likely cause for the unit not operating.
