Answer Hello Kristen, This issue would be cause by motor DE31-10173A. The motor is slipping and this is what causes the pauses. Once it reengages it turns some and then slips again.

Answer Hello Tom. Test the magnetron and make sure it reads less than 1 ohm. Also, make sure the diode only reads in one direction. If it reads both ways, it is bad and will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Hi Astrid. Great. There is a fuse that can be changed relitively easy. Remove power. Remove the top or front screws that hold in the upper vent grill. Remove the smaller metal plate above the control board assy. w/ one screw. The fuse is on a small board above this area. Part # is 3601-001198. Thank you.
