Hello, our icemaker hose is slowly dripping water into the tray. The repair guy says we need a new valve at the back side of the fridge where the water hose screws in... he guesses that the washer inside the valve assembly got corroded by sand/silt. Do I need to purchase just this valve assembly, or the sensor, or both? Thank you!

My icemaker stopped working, so I replaced both the inlet valve and the icemaker. The icemaker is now making ice, but it seems extremely slow. The ice will be frozen in the tray, but it seems to take forever to dump the ice and refill with water. Over a 3 day period, it made only two or three trays of ice. My question concerns part DA32-10110B - does this part drive the cycle of the icemaker? Should I replace it as well?

I replaced the water valve because water through the door was not shutting off in time. It fixed the issue. However, now ice production is extremely slow. The water valve came with the water flow detector shown here. I'm wondering if the water flow detector AP4135578 is related to slow ice production and perhaps the one I got is bad or if the part is not working correctly will the display show a code? There's proper water volume in the ice tray and the evaporator fan is working. It takes about six to eight hours to cycle a tray of ice. I posted a similar question this weekend and no answer yet.
