My lid lock keeps flashing and I have to manual press start button for it to go into the next cycle. The lid can also be open and the washer will continue to cycle. It often will not spin and we have to put it to drain and spin to complete cycle.
Answer Cindy, You're on the right track, the actuator W10006355 is usually the culprit when it comes to issues with the spin cycle and lid lock assembly. You should retrieve the tech data sheet from the inside of the cabinet front panel and conduct the various diagnostics test to have a better indication of the actual issue.
Can the actuator be tested outside of the machine using a multi-meter?
Answer Hello Frank. Yes, you can test for power tot he shifter. Also, Motor Resistance
2k to 3.5k ohms on the shifter. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
