I have removed the nut inside the agitator with a spanner wrench, but cannot lift the tub out of the plastic basin. What is the trick to do that?
Answer Hello Sam. You remove the cap off the agitator and there is a bolt in the center you must remove. Once removed, the agitator will lift out of the unit.
my agitator moves but doesn't sling the clothes properly to wash. its almost like being on a gentle cycle when it is on a heavy duty cycle.
Answer Sue, You're on the right track, the first thing should be, to remove the agitator and check the splines in the bottom to see if they have stripped out on the transmission output shaft. Remove the center cap of the agitator, With a 7/16 in. socket, extension, and wrench, remove the bolt(turn counter clockwise). Grasp the agitator, and lift it up and out of the tub. Turn it upside down and check the splines in the opening of the center, and plastic shavings on the splines of the metal transmission output shaft. Thanks and good luck
